GREAT MOVES

One day Tom the tiger heard something unusual. "What is that sound?" he asked himself. "I've never heard anything like that before. Cool, those are cool movements. That girl is really really good!"

Suddenly he decided to meet her. "Hi," he addressed her, "don't be scared of me, I'm a tiger, but a most worthy tiger, and my name is Tom."

The girl smiled, "I'm not afraid of you. You're the most beautiful tiger I've ever seen."

Tom was delighted. "Thank you," he replied. "That's great that you're not afraid of me. People are often afraid of tigers and even kill them. What's your name, anyway?"

"My name is Sabi," the girl introduced herself. "And I would never do that. I mean to kill a tiger. Really never!"

"Nice to meet you, Sabi," Tom said enthusiastically. "You're really cool and how much you can do. Will you teach me too? I'll teach you how to jump and run super fast or even skate. You want to?"

"Hmm, okay," Sabi replied. "But I can skate, you know? You don't have to teach me that, and I can actually jump and run."

Tom was excited, "Great, we'll have a lot of fun together. And you know what? Just because you think you can do something doesn't mean you're doing it right. You can learn to do it right or do it the best you can. But you sure as hell can't jump like a tiger. A tiger is the best hunter in the jungle or the forest. You can be the first girl to jump like a tiger, and I'll be the only tiger in the world who can make moves like you. Don't you agree?"

"Absolutely," Sabi replied with enthusiasm. "That's awesome and I'd love to teach you. It's called street dancing. This dance actually originated on the street when boys and girls moved to music that was playing from a big loud radio. What's great about this dance is that you can do anything you can think of. I mean, really anything. Like handstands, somersaults, stars, flips, jumps and all sorts of other tricks and you can still listen to your favorite songs. It's a lot of fun."

"Great, shall we get started then?" Tom asked eagerly.

"Sure," Sabi replied. "It's best to start like this. Like doing squats while swaying from side to side. Now you can maybe jump like you're trying to touch the sky."

"Yeah," Tom rejoiced. "Dancing is really fun!"
